FDA recalls soda company's drinks for chemicals, dye linked to cancer

..... The food and Drug Administration has issued a voluntary recall of several popular beverage produced by the Charles Boggini Company, citing the failure to declare multiple chemicals and preservatives, including a dye linked to cancer.

The recall affects four of the company's drinks: Pink Lemonade, Cola Flavoring Base, yellow Lemonade, and Yellow Lemonade X. these beverages, sold in 1- and 5-gallon quantities, are distributed to restaurants across the United States.
..... The FDA enforcement notice highlights that the Pink Lemonade contains FD&C Red Number 40 dye, a coloring agent associated with colorectal cancer. Additionally, the Yellow Lemonade and Yellow Lemonade X Drinks were found to contain FD&C Yellow Number 5, a dye known to cause allergic reactions in some individuals. The Cola Flavoring Base includes sulfite, preservatives that can lead to respiratory issues when consumed in large quantiles.
